On Saturday, May 18th, Shibuya Productions welcomed the international press for the launch of its Manga Blitz created by Cédric Biscay, in the presence of the greatest chess player of all time, Garry Kasparov, the supervisor and the protagonist of the project.
Cédric Biscay’s first manga takes place in Japan with some scenes in Monaco. It is about a teenager who would love to conquer the heart of his schoolmate, who is a chess fan. So, he decides to start learning the technics of the chess master, Garry Kasparov. But an unexpected event is going to transfer the legend's knowledge into his mind...
The aim of this project is to promote the game of chess in Japan and Garry Kasparov who is dedicated to popularizing it in any way he can, accepted the collaboration with pleasure.
Every year during the Cannes Film Festival, you can meet with the Shibuya Productions team where they have a special corner located at the Plage du Majestic 72 by ADR.
